AGE 87 YEARS
Rose Marie Gallagher of Holliston, passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2021. Born and raised in Watertown, she was the daughter of the late Palmina (Fantasia) and Emilio Parrella. She was the wife of the late Norman Joseph Gallagher. Rose Marie and Norman were married in 1955. They moved to Holliston in 1961. She graduated in 1975 from nursing school and worked as an RN at Framingham Union Hospital for 20 years.
Norman and Rose Marie lived at the Cape for 14 years, where she worked at Cape Cod VNA for 10 years and volunteered at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster, before relocating back to Holliston. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and time spent in Cape Cod and New Hampshire.
Rose Marie is survived by her children, Steven J. Gallagher of Bellingham, Norman M. Gallagher of Holliston, Kathleen Naughton of Holliston, Pamela G. Mann of Hopkinton, Margaret R. McClure of Upton, and Joseph N. Gallagher of Wrentham, and their respective spouses. She also leaves behind her siblings, Jeannette Boardo of Holliston, John Parrella, Robert Parrella, Richard Parrella and Michael Parrella all of Medway; her in-laws; 14 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Paul Gallagher; as well as her sister and brothers-in-law, Annemarie, David, and Kevin Gallagher.
A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, April 29th at 11:00 a.m. at Lake Grove Cemetery, Holliston. A memorial mass in her name will be said Sunday, June 20 at 9::30a.m. at Saint Mary's Church, Holliston.
