Carol S. Collier, of Greenup, went to be with the Lord on Oct 30, 2020, surrounded by her family.
Carol was born on November 13, 1948, in Load, Ky.; daughter to the late Rufus Calloway and Hazel (Morris) Collier.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Paul & Calvin Collier, Ed Potter and Ronnie Reed; her sisters, Lola Collier, Leona Noxsel, and Beatrice (Lynn) Coriell; her stepmother, Flora (Reed) Collier; and two beloved nephews, Gary Potter and Mike Krajewski.
Carol was saved by grace and a member of the Brick Union Gospel Lighthouse. She was a caring generous soul, who was loved by many. She loved the ocean; but was happiest when she was surrounded by family.
Carol was a graduate of Wurtland High School. She had many occupations, but most remember her as the Bookmobile Librarian. She touched many lives bringing books and loving care to communities and schools throughout Greenup County.
Carol is survived by her daughter, Angela Dawn Diamond Mai (Fred) and her two grandchildren, Paul Michael Calloway Osborne (Ashley) and Caylee Dawn (Miguel) Guerrero; her great-grandchild, Calum Miguel Guerrero; her brothers, Henderson (Minnie), Ray (June), Carl (Anne) and Mark Collier, and Mick Sampson; her sisters, Lois Potter, Joyce (Dennis) Krajewski, Freda (Ken) Taylor, Rita Collier, Tunecia Collier, and Wanda Reed; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
A memorial service will be held April 24, 2021, at 10 a.m. at the Load Christian Baptist Church, with burial immediately following at the Moses Bentley Cemetery.
