Freddie Mae accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at the age of 12 and never looked back. She went on to pursue her education at Dunbar Junior College in Little Rock, Arkansas where she received an Associate Degree.
Freddie Mae married Elonzo Baker on October 28, 1957 and together they have four children. Together the family moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado in August 1968 and became members of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church. Freddie Mae devoted herself faithfully and wholeheartedly to serving others and was an active member of the choir and missionary department.
Freddie Mae retired from St. Francis Hospital as a Surgical Instrument Technician after 25 years of dedicated service. She was an entrepreneur and a pillar in the community.
