On Thursday, April 22, 2021 JoAnne Hansen Allen passed peacefully from this mortal existence at age 89. JoAnne was born October 12, 1931 in Logan, Utah to Verg and Maude (Coombs) Hansen. She grew up in Logan and attended Logan High School where she met, dated and later married the love of her life John Harold Allen on September 3, 1952. John passed away 20 years ago. What a blessing it is that they are reunited after all these years.
JoAnne worked as a secretary while John finished Law School and began his law practice. Later she became very involved in the Law Wives Organization and PTA while raising her family. John and JoAnne settled in Bountiful, Utah and raised a daughter Tammy and son Todd.
Some of the things she loved to do included cooking, entertaining and traveling.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, holding many callings throughout her life.
JoAnne was preceded in death by her mother Maude, father Verg, brother Dee, and husband John.
She is survived by her daughter Tammy (Allen) and Jerry Smith, son Todd Hansen Allen, five grandchildren, Amberley (Smith) and Jason Millett, Landrey and Brie Smith, Riley and Kaylee Smith, Miranda (Smith) and Ian VanWagoner, Savannah Smith and two great granddaughters, Tiviley and Autumn Millett. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Jone (Armitage) Hansen.
Friends and family are invited to attend a viewing at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Utah on Friday, April 30 from 9:30 – 10:30 am. A graveside service will follow at at 11:00 am, at the Bountiful City Cemetery, 295 North Main.
