Clarence Harrison, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at the Eastern Montana Veteran's Home in Glendive, Montana. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Clarence was born on February 6,1928 in Dawson, North Dakota, a son of Thomas and Christine (Huft) Harrison. When Clarence was six years old, the family moved to Marsh, Montana. He attended schools in Glendive and graduated from Dawson County High School. Following his high school education Clarence served for the United States Army during the Korean War. When he returned home Clarence worked for many years as the Serviceman General for MDU, retiring in 1990. He met and later married Leora McLeod in Glendive in 1971 and is survived by four children.
Clarence thoroughly enjoyed his retirement years, spending many days traveling and fishing. He also loved woodworking and watching basketball on the television.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Christine; one brother, Leonard; and two sisters, Monita and Gladys.
Clarence is survived by his wife Leora of Billings, Montana; son, Doug Harrison of Carlin, Nevada; son, Dan (Vivien) Harrison of Glendive; son, Dean (Tamara) Harrison of Carlin; daughter, Kim (Roger) Marman of Billings; one brother, Royce Harrison of Glendive; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
