Mr. Shawn Jermaine White, 47, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Friday, April 9, 2021 at VCU Medical Center in Richmond, VA.

Mr. White was born in South Boston, VA on February 20, 1974 to Percy H. White, Sr. and Margaret Saunders White.

At an early age, he joined Saint Luke Baptist Church in Skipwith where he attended Sunday School, and was a member of the junior choir. He was a 1992 graduate of Bluestone Senior High School. He furthered his education at Norfolk State University where he studied Business Management, and later moved to Greenville, NC where he attended Truck Driving School, receiving his CDL license. He later moved back to Chase City where he started his own trucking business, SJW Trucking and White's Transport. Mr. White was a member of the Knights of Pythagoras, and later followed in his father's footsteps to become a member of the RC Yancey Masonic Lodge #284. He loved being in the company of family and friends. He enjoyed hunting and riding his motorcycle.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory three sons, Christopher and Shawn, Jr. of Greenville, NC and Malik White of Chase City, VA; a devoted goddaughter, Makita Brooks of Columbia, SC whom he loved as his own; his parents, Percy H. White, Sr. and Margaret S. White of Chase City, VA; two brothers, Percy White, Jr. (Alicia) of Burke, VA and Corey White, Sr. (Key'sha) of Chase City, VA; sister, Alisha White of Richmond, VA; uncles, Norman White, Earnest White, Maxie Clay, and Willie Thomas; aunts, Lila Clay, Alice Thomas, Juanita White, Gloria White and Tammy White, three nephews, Zykor White, Cordell Hayes, and Corey White, Jr. all of Chase City, VA; three nieces, Ayana White of Richmond, VA, Keori White of Chase City, VA and Katelyn White of Burke, VA; and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Graveside Services for Mr. Shawn J. White will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 17, 2021 at St. Luke Baptist Church Cemetery, Skipwith, VA with Rev. Franklin Watson, II officiating. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM.
