Robert "Bob" Michael Donovan, age 81 of Shakopee, MN, originally of Arlington, MA, entered eternal life on Friday, April 23, 2021 at Mala Strana Nursing Home in New Prague, MN.
Bob was born on September 27, 1939 in Arlington, MA the son of Winthrop and Margaret (Quin) Donovan. He married Carole Nelson on May 4, 1963 in Saint Clement Church, Somerville, MA.
Bob is survived by his wife, Carole; sons, James (Kristen), Kevin (Nancy), and Sean (Cheri); grandchildren, Holly and Nathaniel, Bryan and Jack, Kallie and Emilie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Winthrop and Margaret; sisters, Joan Diamond and Paula MacLellan.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 from 5-7 PM and Thursday, April 29, from 9-10:30 AM at McNearney-Schmidt Funeral and Cremation, 1220 3rd Ave. E., Shakopee, MN, 952-445-2755. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, April 29, at 11:00 AM at the Parish of Saints Joachim and Anne in the Church of St. Mark, 350 S. Atwood St., Shakopee. Livestream of the Mass can be viewed on the McNearney-Schmidt Facebook Page. Interment Catholic Cemetery, Shakopee. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Saints Joachim and Anne.
