Upon Bob's retirement, they traveled extensively every year throughout Europe, spending the winter months planning the details of their adventures. They embedded themselves in the culture of the country they were visiting, learning the language, and staying in private homes rather than the typical tourist accommodations.
Pat spent her final years at the Eden Hlll Community in New Braunfels where she made new friends and enjoyed the activities Eden Hill offered. She was comforted and cared for by Accountable Aging, AA Senior Care, and Caring Senior Services of New Braunfels. We especially thank all her faithful and loving caregivers.
Predeceased by her parents, beloved Bob in 1991, and sister-in-law, Beverly Good, she is survived by her niece, Karen(Good)Smith (Tom), two great-nephews, her god-children, and many friends in San Antonio, Canyon Lake, and New Braunfels. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Pat sought comfort in her Bible and particularly in the 23rd Psalm, in the classical King James Version. She had a favorite pooem by Henry Scott Holland, "Death is nothing at all. I have only slipped away to the next room....Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?"
Her faith was strong. She was a long-time member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church of Canyon Lake, where she served in a variety of ways.
