Norma J. Thompson, 73 of Tomah and formerly of Brice Prairie passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at the Marinuka Manor, Galesville. She was born on June 11, 1947 to Richard and Shirley (Ringdahl) Johnson in LaCrosse, WI. She attended the Onalaska High School. In December of 1994, Norma was united in marriage to Theodore "Ted" Thompson in Waukon, IA. He preceded her in death on October 6, 2019.

Norma had an outgoing and sunny disposition. She was an avid lover of all kinds of animals. In her younger years, she enjoyed the time spent with her siblings and their beloved horse, Joker and family dog, Pal. Birdwatching, was a favorite past time of Norma's and she was sure to put out feed for the birds and squirrels all year round. During her stay at Marinuka Manor she thoroughly enjoyed the indoor bird aviary, where she was able to enjoy watching the birds all year round. Norma always found time to visit with friends and family.

She is survived by sons, Daniel (Rose) Stumlin of Richland Center, John Stumlin of LaCrosse, stepson Ted Thompson, Jr., sisters, Judy Iberg and Patricia (David) Hubert of Onalaska, brother, James Johnson of Tomah, a brother-in-law, Tom Thompson and an incredibly special furry friend, Baby Bear. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ted and a son Gordon Stumlin.
