SALINA, Kan.-Leona Viola Maddy Graves, 82, Salina, Kan., formerly of Abingdon, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007.
She was born Leona Viola Rettkowski on June 27, 1925, in Benton, Minn. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Robert Maddy, in 1959 and her second husband, Billie M. Graves in 2005.
She is survived by two sons, Steve (Vickie) Maddy of Kipp and Mike (Cathy) Maddy of Derby; three daughters, Barbara (John) Lantz, Chapman, Sue (Larry) Ferry, East Troy, Wis., and Lynn (Lanny) Maddy-Kohler, Salina; one brother, Harry Hawk Jr. Burlington, Iowa; two sisters, Lila Bean, Mediapolis, Iowa, and Yvonne Stodt, Burlington, Iowa; 13 grandchildren, Jaquelyn Dautel-Forth, Krystal Ehlert, Jeff Lantz, Jake Ferry, Jill Hupe, Robert, Ryan, Matthew, Luke and Andy Maddy, Joshua and Cody Kohler and Crystal McKinney; and 20 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Fred, August, and Myron Rettkowski and Alan and Gary Hawk; and three sisters, Lillian Flynn, Beverly Saben, and Judith Hawk.
Services were held Sunday, Oct. 7, 2007, in Church of Christ, Salina, Kan., with the Rev. Bruce Dimick officiating.
Burial was in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina, Kan.
