Janet Elizabeth Pearson
May 13, 1952 ~ April 21, 2021

Janet E Pearson, Age 68, of St. Paul. A graduate of Johnson Sr. High and St. Paul TVI (chemistry), Jan spent most of her career with the Minnesota Departments of Health and of Employment and Economic Development.

Preceded in death by her parents, Ralph E. and Rose Alice (Knoblauch) Pearson.

Survived by brothers Steven (Nancy Van Dore), David (Pamela), and James; sister Denise "D.D." Peterson (Kirk); nephews, nieces and their families Adrian (Malaysi), Jenny Nystrom (Brent), Scott Wolfe, Brian, Chris (Nicole), Alana Koderick (Mark), Kyle Peterson, Robyn Adams, Kori Peterson (Mikayla) and Brandon Gordon; Aunt Elaine Pearson (widow of Richard); beloved cousins; good friends Suzi Gerber, Donna Mrozinski and Joan Krey; and many unofficial siblings, children, and grandchildren.

Jan loved children and animals, was gifted in music, writing and art, and she was a loyal friend, generous to a fault. Jan's lifelong love of reading was nurtured by her parents and supported by Hayden Heights Public Library.

She disliked being the center of attention and did not want an official memorial service. Instead, Jan asked that you read with the children in your life and support your local library in her memory. The family thanks St. John's Hospital, Good Samaritan Society of Inver Grove Heights, and St. Croix Hospice for their loving care over the last year of Jan's life.

In care of Wulff Funeral Home ~ Saint Paul, Minnesota.
