Mark Eugene Gordon, 68, passed away Thursday, April 22,2021 at Baptist Health in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.
He was born March 16th,1953 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Paul and Maxine (Hansen) Gordon.
Mark is survived by wife Deborah Gordon; his daughters Paula Keach, Jennifer (Joshua) Blanchard, Tiffany Christa (Laura) Gordon; his grandchildren Kayla Handy, Ashley Keach, Lauren Smith, Blade Keach, Alicia Blanchard, Quentin Powell, and Breely Blanchard; along with 12 great-grandchildren. As well as brothers Craig (Jodi) Gordon and Richard Gordon.
Mark joined the Army on March 16th, 1979 and retired from Ft. Knox as Sergeant First Class on November 30th, 1994. He rejoined the workforce as a Custodial Engineer for Ft. Knox school system and retired the final time in November of 2018. Mark was a loving father and major sports enthusiast; especially Iowa Hawkeyes. He also enjoyed Nascar and incinerating anything on the grill.
Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM on Monday, May 3, 2021 at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.
Military honors will be rendered at 11:00 AM, Monday, May 3, 2021 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY.
