Born 17 Nov 1899, at Saulsville, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Virginia Buchanan Evans.
Mrs. Brooks was formerly employed by the Pineville Fashion Shop as a seamstress and was a member of the Saulsville Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Billy Phillips; second husband, everett Brooks and a brother, Lacy Evans.
Survivors include two sons, Norman Gene Phillps of Gulf Port, Miss.; and Bobby C. Phillips of Warrensburg, Mo.; two daughters, Mrs. Parker (Shirley) Pendry of Sophia; with whom she made her home, and Mrs. Don (Lorene) Collier of Beckley; a sister, Mrs. John (Irene) Sizemore of Matheny; three brothers, Roy Tiley of Sabine; Arnold Tilley of New York; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at 11:a.m. at the Calfee Funeral Service Chaper in Pineville with the Revs. Morgan Blankenship and Charles Tilley officiating. burial will be in the Palm Memorial Gardens at Matheny.
