Rev. Clark may very properly be spoken of in addition to the many grand results attending his labors in the ministry, as the father of the Presbyterian church at this place (Appleton City). On Sunday, Dec. 29, 1867, he organized the Presbyterian church of Hudson, which in July, 1871, was moved to this city. -- Appleton City Journal, 28 March 1901
