In Scott's earlier years, he worked as a Journeyman Painter for almost 25 years. More recently he pursued a career in business, predominately Industrial Sales which he did for over a decade before retiring, so he could spend more time with his five kids, two grandchildren and his dog, Jax. He always said, "I love my kids more than life itself".
Throughout the years, Scott enjoyed a variety of outdoor activities and sports. He was committed to being an excellent mentor by coaching his kids for many years in Lodi youth sports including football, baseball, and softball. When he was not busy with coaching or work, you could find him fishing, whether on a lake, river or stream, fishing was always a sport he had a passion for. He also liked camping, riding ATV's, collecting sports memorabilia, watching sports like NFL, NHL, boxing and more recently NASCAR. He was a great cook and loved to grill out no matter the season. He loved to tell stories and reminisce on past adventures. He wore his heart on his sleeve, offering guidance, empowerment, and direction to anyone in need. He was a great father, mentor, coach and will be truly missed.
Scott is survived by three sons, Joshua Bass, Jonathon Bass and Joseph Bass (Amanda); two daughters, Emily Bass and Breanna Bass; two stepchildren, Justin Angell (Amy) and Brandon Angell; stepfather, Richard "Dick" Kiesow; mother, Beverly Kiesow; three sisters, Pamela (Fred) Amacher, Tina Bass, and Cynthia Kiesow; brother, Christopher (Dawn) Bass; stepsister, Heather Lawler (William), and two grandchildren, Princeton Bass and Georgia Bass. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Bass and sister, Rebecca Helgren.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
