Shirley Bell, nee Block, 91, Born February 4, 1930 in New York, New York died April 22, 2021 in Baltimore, of natural causes.
Shirley Bell, daughter of the late Fannie and William Block and predeceased by husband Julius Bell, sisters Sylvia Kasten and Mary Kendall and son David, is survived by her son William, daughter, Elizabeth, son-in-law Paul Aumayr, daughter-in-law Rae Ann Bell, granddaughter Juliette, grandson-in-law Raf Seward, and grandson Joshua Bell.

Shirley was a graduate of Forest Park High School, and spent most of her adult life involved in local community theatres, including The Lord Mayor's Players, The Spotlighters, Corner Theatre, The Vagabond Players, Cockpit in Court, and The Baltimore Playwrights' Festival among many others.
She'd done acting, directing, costume design, and mainly publicity and for decades, was a fixture on the local theatre scene.
She also spent years working as a purchasing agent for former Maryland bank, Mercantile Bank and Trust.

In light of Covid, a small family-only memorial will be held privately on Monday, April 26 at 9:30 am.

The service will be webcast from the Sol Levinson website. There will not be a formal Shiva, but a luncheon for family will follow the service at the home of Elizabeth, 38 Second Avenue 21227.
