James "Pokey" Paul Cotner, Sr, age 44, resident of New Castle, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021. He was born March 2, 1977 in New Castle, Indiana and was the son of Ronnie and Diane Cotner.
He married his wife, Debbie September 9, 2006 and was a carpenter for many years with Junior Farr Construction. He was affiliated with the Whittier Lane Baptist Church in New Castle.
"Pokey" is survived by his mother and father; his wife, Debbie; a son, James P. "JP" Cotner, Jr. (Amanda) of Indianapolis, Indiana; two granddaughters, Madeline and Bailey King of Strunk, Kentucky; maternal grandmother, Patty West of New Castle; mother-in-law, Helen Watters of Whitley City, Kentucky; a sister, Misty Honeycutt (Michael) of Clark Range, Tennessee; a brother, Tony Spradlin (Jessica) of New Castle; dad, Harold Spradlin of Pine Knott, Kentucky; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
