On the morning of April 19, 2021, Robin Marie Ballard left this earth to her forever home in Heaven. Robin's death was sudden and heartbreaking to her family and friends. She was known for spreading kindness wherever she went. Robin always made sure everyone was doing good and if not, she would jump in to help. She also was good at finding a positive in every negative situation.
Since age 16, Robin was a caring, joyful, and beautiful mother to Cori Deese, Trai Deese, and Tara Gowens. Tony Deese was her high school sweetheart and the father of her three children. Robin had five grandchildren; Julian, Emilia, Sophia, Averie, and Carsyn. There was nothing in this world Robin wouldn't do for them! Robin lived with her caring father Richard Ballard in her last years with us.
Robin was a sister to late Cidney, Anne, and Patricia Keller. Robin got her fiery spirit from her late mother, Shelby Ballard. They always found a way to get something done. One of Robin's favorite sayings was "If there's a will, there's a way." Her soul has and will continue to affect the ones she left behind. She will be missed and never forgotten. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 25 from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home, 11144 Warwick Blvd., Newport News, VA. A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 26 at 11:00 a.m. at Peninsula Memorial Park – Mausoleum.
