Dennis Wesley Myers, 79, of Borger, passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2021 in Pampa.

Memorial graveside services will be held at a later date. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Dennis was born on January 23, 1942 in Grand Rapids, Minnesota to Robert and Lola Wood Myers. He was raised in Minnesota. Dennis moved to Texas in the early 1970's. He married Beverly Hynes on December 9, 1972 in Liberal, Kansas. She preceded him in death on May 11, 2017. Dennis enjoyed camping, woodworking, and watching old western movies. He loved animals and rescued many strays in his neighborhood.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his son, Dennis Myers II; 2 brothers, Bob Myers and Stanley Myers; and 2 sisters, Gladys Dinsmore and Frances Sutherland.

Dennis is survived by his 4 children, Angela Franco and husband Gabriel of Borger, Pattie Campos, and Rich Holligan and husband David all of Amarillo, and Marie Saxton of Hawthorne, Nevada; and 6 grandchildren, Jared Myers, Alisha Myers, Rylan Franco, Zebadiah Franco, Kelsi Herrick, and Shaina Gonzales.

Memorials may be made to an animal shelter of your choosing.
