After graduation from Tech, he taught the very first Ag. Classes in Ira, TX. From there he and Dot moved to Mundy, TX and taught Veterans classes. Later they moved back to Snyder, J.C. went to work at the Sun Ray Plant. In the 50's they lived in Lovington, NM while J.C. worked for Farm Bureau Insurance. In 1966 J.C. got back to his love of farming and agriculture by working for the U.S.D.A. Soil Conservation Service. After a long career he enjoyed investing in real estate and taking care of his rental properties and cattle. He and Dot enjoyed their retirement and were able to travel with their RV to many beautiful places in this country. They especially enjoyed Branson and traveling to see grandchildren and all their sporting events.
He was a faithful Christian and a deacon in the Church of Christ in both San Saba and Big Spring for many years. He was a member of Oldham Lane Church of Christ. He was the gentle giant who treated everyone he met with respect and kindness. His sense of humor with strangers sometimes took them by surprise but he always meant well! His family learned unconditional love from him. We will miss him always!
Even in times difficult days of poor health, he showed his love for his beloved Dot!
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, seven brothers and sisters, and one grandchild.
He is survived by four children. Rodney (Jeanette) Wall of Belton, Twylia (Gary) Roberts of Coahoma, Raegan (Michele) Wall of Brownwood and Kim (Rob) Cooksey of Abilene along with eleven grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
