Vanessa graduated from Rialto High School in 1997 and worked in the hotel/travel industry. She also provided home health care to those in need. Vanessa had a passion for art and loved to draw and color in her free time.
Vanessa met and married the love of her life October 30, 2007. He survives. Also surviving are children, , siblings, five nieces, one nephew, a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, relatives and friends.
Vanessa was preceded in death by her father, James N. Jackson, her mother, Carol A. Trahan-Word and her sister, Consuella Trahan.
A Celebration of Vanessa's Life will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 22, 2021 at the Open Arms Outreach Ministries, 2401 SE 11th St., Topeka, Kansas 66607. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
