William "Bill" Lester Webster Jr.
SEPTEMBER 5, 1951 – APRIL 7, 2021

William Lester Webster, Jr. was born on September 5th, 1951 to William L. Webster, Sr. and Theresa Webster (Locke). He was the proud big brother to his only sibling, Donna Webster. His father, mother, and sister preceded him in death. The Webster family extended right along down Myrtle street to include the Davises, Ragans, and Cheadles as part of a large, loving tribe of neighborhood friends.

Not many people, if any, called him William. He was lovingly and affectionately known to everyone as Bill, Billy, or Web. Bill grew up in Kansas City, MO and was a proud graduate of Central High School. After graduation, Bill continued to live in Kansas City, MO and worked as a construction apprentice. Years later, he became a driver for Consolidated Freightways where he spent over 20 years of his career. He last worked for ABF from where he retired as a driver. Bill accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at a young age and grew up attending Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church for many years where he was involved in the bus ministry.

Bill's pride and joy were his children. When his faith was put to the test after losing his father and sister in the same year, he stepped in to be the best father-figure he could be to his only niece, La Neca, whom he already considered a daughter. From a prior marriage, his two children Mallory and Briggs were born. Bill was not only Dad, but he was a coach, a mentor, a cheerleader, a hunting partner, and the kids' biggest fan. Bill went from changing diapers and tying shoes to eventually helping Mallory and Briggs move into their college dorms and attending their weddings. Bill gained a bonus-daughter, Marisa, when he married his current wife, Renee. There was nothing he would not do for his children.

Bill and Renee enjoyed spending time together with friends, family, and most of all, one another. They enjoyed traveling and had several exciting trips in mind for Bill's post-retirement. As Bill battled Alzheimer's Disease over the past several years, Renee was by his side every step of the way.

Those who knew and loved Bill knew he was the life of any event he attended. He could strike up a conversation with anyone. He was full of humor and wit and was known to keep everyone laughing. He had the most outgoing personality, the most contagious laugh, and the biggest, most handsome smile.

Bill leaves to forever cherish his memory: his wife Renee, children Mallory Mitchell and husband Reggie, Briggs Webster and wife Cassie, niece La Neca Ross and husband Randall, and bonus-daughter Marisa Moore. Also, to uphold his honor are his four grandchildren: Detriana, RJ, Myles, and Roman, his great-nephews Donte and Will, his great-niece Joslyn, his best friend Chauncey, and a host of other family members and close friends.

In lieu of sending flowers to the family, please consider donating funds to the Alzheimer's Association (https://act.alz.org/donate) in honor of Bill Webster.
