William (Bill) Troy McKinney, 98, of Buckner, met his precious Savior Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his loving wife and family.
Bill was born on September 2, 1922 in Center Hill, AR, the son of Joseph David and Martha (Ann America Williams; Mattie) McKinney.
Survivors include: son, Billy (Candy), Sibley, three daughters,
Janice Christopher, Osage Beach, Connie (Glenn) Glasco, Independence and Teresa Spaun, Blue Springs. 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great-greatgrandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, George Dewey, William David (Dee) and Lloyd Vernon, one sister, Ruby Jewell Reiley, daughter Lynda Vaughn and one great-grandchild, Owen Limberg.
Bill married Frances Oleta Luster June 22, 1944 in Batesville, AR. They were married for over 76 years! They attribute the success of their marriage to their strong faith in God.
Bill was a member of Anchor Point Baptist Church of Independence.
Bill always enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved Krispy Créme Donuts and watching The Price is Right.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Ascend Hospice.
A visitation will be held from 10-11am on Saturday May 1, 2021 at Anchor Point Baptist Church in Independence, Missouri. Funeral Service will begin at 11am with burial to follow at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens.
