Rancho Cordova, California - Dorothy Louise Erickson was born in Lodi, California on July 11, 1924 and passed away in Rancho Cordova, CA on April 26, 2020. Graduating from Lodi High School in 1941, she immediately moved to Sacramento to work for Pacific Telephone. In 1948, she married Roy Donald Erickson, with whom she had two children. While her children were growing up, she was a stay-at-home mom who was active in school and neighborhood activities. Later she worked for the Commission on Teacher Credentialing in a position she held well past the normal retirement age. She was a recent resident of Golden Pond and Summerset senior living facilities. Dorothy was predeceased by her mother, Elsie Brown, father, Roscoe Little, step-father Harry Brown, husband, Don Erickson, sister, Betty Crowder, brother, Norman Little, and grandson Matthew Lindfeldt. She leaves her son Gary (Sue) Erickson, daughter Sue (Greg) Lindfeldt, brother, Stan (Adele) Little, three grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Due to the Covid Pandemic, we were not able to gather and honor our mother's life until now.
A Celebration of Life will be held on April 25, 2021, at 11:00 am at Harry Nauman & Son Funeral Home, 4041 Freeport Blvd. Sacramento, CA. A light lunch will be served on site immediately following service. Inurnment at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, CA. will be private.
