According to Svein Bonsted ([email protected]) at the community historical society in Grue, Ole was born on Tostenrud u Holmen in Grue. He was christened 30 January 1870 in Grue kirke. He married Hanna/Hannah Olsdatter Nilsrud in Grue kitke on 13 April 1893.
They had four children:
1.) Olga Kristine Olsdatter Nilsrud born 14 Aug. 1893 on Nilsrud, Grue, christened 24 Sept. 1893 in Grue kirke. She emigrated in 1909 to the USA with her mother.
2.) Oskar Alfred Olsen Nilsrud born 25 June 1895 on Nilsrud, Grue, christened 21 July 1895 in Grue kirke.
He emigrated in 1909 to the USA with his mother
3.) Einer Hjalmar Olsen Nilsrud was born 3 Janurary 1899 on Nilsrud Grue, christened 12 March 1899 in Grue kirke. He emigrated in 1909 to the USA with his mother. He died 29 October 1957 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. (3484712)

Gravesite Details
When he died in 1904, he was buried in Grave U/14/274 in the Grue Cemetery. It isn't known if that grave is still in the family.
