St. Martinville - A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville for Calvin Thomas, 71, who passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9:00 am until 10:00 am on Saturday.

Rev. Charles Banks will officiate at the Memorial Service. Readers will be Paul Antoine and Hallie Olivier.

Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery in St. Martinville.

Calvin was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was well known for his great joke telling, and he enjoyed listening to a good song on the radio, and spending time with the ones he loved most, especially his best friend, Joseph "Bozo" Roseberry, while sitting on the porch and having a good cup of coffee.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Pickney Thomas of Broussard; three daughters, Moncedra Thomas Frank of Hanford, CA, Comisha Olodun of Ewa Beach, HI, and Tammy Thomas of Rosharo, TX; stepdaughter, Marilyn Robertson (Bradford) of Broussard; two sisters, Loritha Jack Williams of Centennial, CO and Lorena Jack Chavis of Opelousas; two step grandsons, Chase Pickney of St. Martinville and James Livingston, Jr. of Broussard; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Thibodeaux and mother, Josephine Thomas.
