Jasmine "Jazzy" Renee Brown was born on April 17, 1993, the youngest daughter of Tina Wingard Smith and the late Darrell W. Brown, Sr. Jazzy accepted Christ and was baptized at the age of seven. She was a member of Saint James Episcopal Church.
Jazzy attended Barbara Jordan Elementary and Dobie Middle School in Austin ISD. She was a graduate of Lyndon Baines Johnson High School Class of 2011 where she played basketball and volleyball. She continued her studies at Paul Mitchell Beauty School where she was scheduled to graduate in June of 2021 as a licensed esthetician.
Jazzy was beautiful and always a happy young lady with a big smile on her face. She touched the hearts of those she knew and always left a lasting impression. She was a lovable and caring person who will be greatly missed. She played basketball, volleyball and kickball. She was preceded in death by her father, Darrell W. Brown, Sr., grandparents Bradfield Sr. and Lizzie Casteel, and uncle Bradfield Casteel Jr.
Jazzy leaves to cherish her memory and many happy reflections, her loving mother Tina and stepfather Hillary Smith of Pflugerville, Texas; maternal grandparents, Deacon Henry and Mrs. Patricia Wingard of Austin, Texas; paternal grandparents, Judy B. and Eldred Jenkins of Austin, Texas; sisters LaTeesha Brown and Julia Brown of Austin, Texas, and Karsholyn Brown of Kyle, Texas; brothers Lamont Brown and Darrell W. Brown, Jr. of Austin, Texas; special niece Ceazia Fresch; nephews Dominique Fresch, Kayden Maxwell, Zane Maxwell, Darrell Brown III, and Jeremiah Brown; her fur baby Sky; special friend Dominique Walker; along with a host of aunts,
uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
