Sybil Faye was born in Alvarado, Texas, to the late Fred and Annie (Vaughn) Kynerd. She lived in Waco and Riesel for 79 years before moving to Lake Sam Rayburn to live near her son. Sybil retired from Owens-Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Alec Barnett in 1984; second husband, J.C. Carroll in 1998; a brother; and three sisters.
Survivors include son, Fred G. Barnett and wife, Debbie, of Brookeland; grandchildren, Paige Nelms and husband, Joe, and Ross Barnett; great-grandchildren, Leslie Wilson, Devin Wilson, Kristin Wilson, Austin Barnett, Jacob Barnett, Jackson Barnett, Kendall Nelms and Cainen Nelms; sister, Bert Bozeman; and several nieces, nephews, and many other family members and numerous friends.
