Rosalind F. Brown "Roz", "Sister", "Mother" age 81 of Killeen, Texas, transitioned to her heavenly home on Friday, April 2, 2021 in the home of her daughter and caretaker.
She was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey to Joseph and Josephine Franklin April 16, 1939. She was united in marriage to Bruce E Brown from that union was born one daughter LaVonne Michele.
Roz believed in education and was not afraid to try new things. She held positions as a physical therapist, housekeeper, surgical technician, dental assistant, nurses aid and several casino positions. She Retired from Rite Aid as a pharmacy technician. She was so loved, when people saw her in public, the would call her Ms. Rite Aid.
Mother as she was affectionally called loved traveling. She would often travel to visit her daughter in California, Boston, and New York. She Visited Barbados the birthplace of her parents. She Also traveled with her grandson to Illinois when he went to college.
Mother loved the Lord and became a member of New Hope Baptist church in Atlantic City, New Jersey. She moved with her daughter to Killeen, Texas in May 2019.
Rosalind was preceded in death by her Parents Joseph and Josephine Franklin; Husband, Bruce E. Brown; Sister and Brother In-Law, Frances "Rita" Hicks (John); Brother, Joseph N. "Buddy" Franklin Jr.
Mother leaves wonderful memories for her Daughter LaVonne Smalls; Grandson, Jairus J. Condry; Sisters in Law, Mildred Franklin and Joan Camper, Nieces, Josette Franklin and Lisa Wilson; Nephews, John, James "Yakie" and Jay Hicks; Cousins, Norma Braithwaite, Hazel Coles and Jessica Brown, Special Son and Officiant Bishop Herbert V. James Jr., The Best Caretaker Ronald Edwards, and a Host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
