John Grant Elledge Jr., 56, of Phillips Road, Boomer died Saturday, June 17, 2012 at his home.
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, June 18, at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel, with the Rev. Brian Miller officiating.
Mr. Elledge was born in Wilkes County, on Feb. 8, 1956, to John Grant Elledge Sr. and Joan Caldwell Elledge.
In addition to his father, Mr. Elledge was preceded in death by two brothers, Steven Phillips and Tony Gene Phillips.
Mr. Elledge is survived by his wife, Shelia Johnson Elledge of the home; one daughter, Amber Wyatt and husband, Michael, of Millers Creek; one son, Zackery Elledge and wife, Amanda, of Lenoir; his mother, Joan Caudill Phillips of Boomer; his stepfather, Tony Phillips of Boomer; two sisters, Karen Erwin of Moravian Falls and Sandra Hendricks of Charlotte; four grandchildren, Chase Wyatt, Talan Wyatt, Zoey Elledge, Danika Vannoy; brother-in-law, William Johnson and wife, Missy, of Creston; two nephews, Elic Johnson and Emeney Johnson both of Creston; and several other nieces and nephews.
