HOWARD, Carolyn Wickham, died on April 20, 2021. She was born on May 27, 1936 in Montpelier, Va. Carolyn is survived by her husband of 63 years, Stuart R. Howard; daughter, Joy Howard and her partner, Jill Schubert; son, Timmy Howard (Judy Corker); a granddaughter, Kristin Rudisill (Bret); grandson, Jesse Howard (Tayler) and their mother, Susan O. Howard. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Kruse and Knox Rudisill and Ava Grey Howard; two sisters, Pat Dougan and Nancy Webb; several nieces and a nephew. Carolyn also leaves behind her beloved rescue pup, Pete.
Carolyn retired from SunTrust bank after 40 years of service. She loved family time, gardening, traveling and reading. She was a faithful member of the Church of Our Saviour in Montpelier, Va. for 65 years.
The family would like to thank her caregivers, Amina Salifu and Trish Wetzel for their love, care and compassion. They are truly a part of our family.
Services will be held outside at the Church of Our Saviour at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 23, followed by a reception at the Montpelier Center for Arts and Education. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that contributions be made in her name to the Church of Our Saviour, P.O. Box 11, Montpelier, Va. 23192.
