Graveside services for Annie Sue McAdams, 101, will be held 10 A.M., Saturday, April 24, 2021 at North Creek Cemetery in rural Leon County, Texas. Rev. Art Hill will officiate the service. A brief visitation will take place at the cemetery Saturday morning from 9:30 A.M. to service time.

Annie Sue McAdams was born January 8, 1920 in Fairfield, Texas. Her parents were Cornelius Franklin "C.F." & Mary Jewell (Moore) McGuyer. Annie worked as a clerk for Foley's department store in the downtown Houston area for a number of years before moving to Centerville where she remained until her health began to fail. She was affectionately known by most as "Aunt Sue, " as Annie never had any children of her own but considered and accepted all of the younger people in her life her nieces and nephews.

Annie was an expert seamstress who produced many lovely hand sewn quilts, embroideries, cut work and crocheted pieces. She also loved to spend time outdoors in her flowerbeds. During her years residing at Windham Nursing Home, Annie enjoyed playing dominos and winning when she played! When confined to her room she always wanted the door to her room open so that she was able to see who was walking up and down the hall.

Annie passed away peacefully April 20, 2021 in Crockett, Texas. She was loved by so many who will greatly miss her presence. Those preceding Annie in death were her parents; husband, Roger "R.W." McAdams and all of her siblings. She is survived by nieces & nephews, Ricky & Charla Raines, Vernon McGuyer, Billy Fred McGuyer and Sandy Rouse, as well as a host of great and great-great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, Annie's family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the North Creek Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.
