Springville – On Wednesday, Norma V. Coursey, loving mom and grandma, passed away at the age of 98, at her residence.
Norma was born March 26, 1923 in Martin Co., she was the daughter of Henry Aden and Mayme Ferrell (Roberts) Taylor. She married Roy O. Thompson on December 15, 1941 and he preceded her in death on October 8, 1965. She later married Wayne C. Coursey on May 17, 1990 and he preceded her in death on March 22, 1994. Norma spent many years caring for her parents. Her philosophy on life was if you can't say something nice don't say anything at all. She was a cook at Springville Elementary School and retired in 1985 as a cafeteria cook for Parkview Elementary School and was a founding member of the Oak Grove Pentecostal Church.

Norma is survived by Wanda (Marshall) Baker, Kenneth (Janie) Thompson, Howard (Debbie) Thompson, Delores Baker, Anna (Mike) Baker and Barbara (Dwight) Kimmel; grandchildren are Deanna (Bryan) Cain, Brian (Jena) Baker, Tim Thompson, Trisha (Ted) Ueltshi, Pam (Kenny) Voorhies, Danny (Gay) Lawton, Mathew (Kim) Thompson, Amy (Kurt) Voorhies, Dennis Baker, Jeremy Baker, Jessica (Chris) Whitehead, Jennifer (Andrew) Phillips, Brandt (Ashlie) Kimmel, Lane (Lesley) Kimmel, Jesse (Alison) Kimmel. Also several great and great-great grandkids; sisters, Jane Ray, Ada (Ralph) Riggle and brothers, Perry and Don Taylor. She was preceded in death by her husbands, her parents, brothers, Robert, Chester, Lowell, and Karroll Taylor, sisters, Roberta Cornelison and June Anderson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Monday, April 26th at the Oak Grove Pentecostal Church in Springville. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, April 25th and from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Monday, at the Oak Grove Pentecostal Church. The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the Oak Grove Cemetery. Family and friends may express condolences at www.daycarter.com.
