Ricky Earnest Brown was born on October 14, 1958 in Ottumwa, IA to Robert and Martha Roemerman Brown.
He attended Cardinal Community Schools where he graduated with the class of 1977. Upon graduation Ricky began working on the farm with his father and then for a short time with Ideal Ready Mix in Fairfield.
In 1981 he was united in marriage to Brenda Davis and together they had three children, Jacob, Ariane, and Noah. The two later divorced. Ricky worked several jobs as a handyman and craftsman, including Bovard Studios in Fairfield. Most recently he worked for the Story family. Ricky enjoyed hanging out with friends and playing pool.
Ricky was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Cyndy Adam.
Left to share his story is his mother, Martha Brown of Calhoun, MO; one sister, Melanie (Henry) Johnson of Calhoun, MO; three children, Jacob (Chastity) Brown of Colorado, Ariane Brown of Chicago, IL, and Noah Brown of Des Moines, IA, as well as many extended family and friends.
Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at the Batavia Cemetery in Batavia, IA.
