James F. Wyatt (Noonie), passed away on Friday December 11th, 2020 at 96 years old.
Noonie was born on May 29, 1924 in Chickamauga, GA. He graduated from Gordon Lee High School in 1941. After graduation he joined the United States Navy and served during WWII as an Aviation Machinist's Mate First Class while stationed in Puerto Rico. Noonie and Louise were then married in 1943.
He retired from Combustion Engineering in Chattanooga, TN. In his free time Noonie loved to hunt and fish. He was a devout member of the First Baptist Church of Chickamauga, Georgia. He was also a member of the Crawfish Springs Lodge # 300 F&AM.
Noonie had a big heart. He was always telling everyone how much he loved them, his family, friends and caregivers. He was adamant about making sure his loved ones were taken care of: you never left his house without the offer of a meal, a drink or a good story. Noonie is preceded in death by parents; Billie Culberson & Francis Mason Wyatt and wife Louise Raley
He is survived by: daughter and son-in-law Ginger and Randy Houston of Gulf Shores, AL, son and daughter-in-law Russell and Renee Wyatt, grandchildren Brandy and Whitney Wyatt, and dear friends Bett Dobbs, Babs and Charlie Reeves and Jerry Otting of Chickamauga, GA.
No services are scheduled at this time, however the family plans to hold a memorial service to be announced at a later date.
