He was born in Screven County, a U. S Marine Corp veteran, was a retired Director of Public Works for the City of Millen and a member of Deep Creek Freewill Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by great granddaughter, Grace Caroline Dudley and sister, Louise Brinson.
Visitation will 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p. m. Thursday at Millen Cemetery with Rev. Butch Taylor officiating.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Mary B. Burke; daughter, Brenda B. Dudley (George); a son, Charles E. Burke Jr. of Millen; a sister, Shelvy Jean McDaniel; brother, Jesse Earl Burke of Millen; grandchildren, Ginger Lanier (Ernest) and Robert Dudley; great grandchildren, Jackson and Sidnee Lanier and Dalton Dudley; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Steve Burke, Don Burke, Greg Lee, Rodney Lee, Randall McBride, and Jason Bennett.
