James Frank White was born October 11, 1931 in Mutual, Oklahoma to Fredrick Eugene and Julia Inez (Spencer) White and passed away April 21, 2021 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 89.

He is survived two daughters, Joyce White Adams, Julia White Fuselier; one son, David White and wife Linda; one step daughter, Linda Sweeten and husband Troy; two step sons, Carl Anderson and wife Evelena, Billy Anderson and wife Linda; eight grandchildren, Barbara Amelunke-Varner, Evan Cooper, Mellisa Jones, Robert Merriman, Jonathan Merriman, Mark Merriman, Eric Fuselier, Blake Fuselier; seventeen great grandchildren, Maysie Amelunke, Bridget Varner, Felice Summerall, Allison Cooper, Kelly Cooper, Weston Cooper, Kira Jones, Kiya Jones, Hailey Merriman, Vanessa Merriman, Madison Merriman, Jonas Merriman, Olivia Merriman, Ezra Merriman, Clara Fuselier, Wes Fuselier, Annelise Fuselier; four step grandchildren, eight step great grandchildren.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Julia White; first wife, Maysil F. White; second wife, Eddie White; daughter, Janice White Merriman; great grandchildren, Alexander Merriman, Mason Merriman, Hayden Fuselier; sisters, Patricia W. Geddes, Nelletta W. Byrd and Julia W. Taylor. He was a member of Mosholatubbee Lodge in Cameron, Oklahoma and an Elder in the LDS church. James served 21 in in the United State Navy and 16 years as chief engineer for KSIW radio.

Funeral services will be at the Grace Memorial Chapel in Poteau, Oklahoma. Burial will follow in the Fort Smith National Cemetery under the direction of Grace Funeral Services of Poteau.
