Mr. Tommy Glynn Tate, age 51 of Resaca, died Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at his residence. He was born in Walker County, GA on September 18, 1959, son of the late Allen and Virginia Bowman Tate, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Cassandra Reed.

During his lifetime, he was employed in the construction industry as a heavy equipment operator.

Survivors include the mother of his children, Mary Tate of Calhoun; a son, Jason Tate of Doraville; a daughter, Alisha Ricardez of Canton; two brothers, Allen Tate of Resaca, and Walter Watkins of Calhoun; a sister, Candy Peterson of Calhoun; and three grandchildren, Courtney Weaver, Shaun Weaver, and Aceson Weaver. Nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Mr. Tate's body will be cremated and there will be no services. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Saturday, March 12, from 10am until 11:00am.
