James E. "Jamie" Whitley, 42, passed away on April, 17, 2021 at the Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock.
He was born on January 19, 1979 in El Dorado, AR.
Jamie was an avid golfer, always confident and extremely intelligent. He deeply loved being a son, brother and father. The joy of his life was being at home with his wife and children. Jamie had a big personality, bringing new life to any atmosphere. He loved God and loved being in God's word. He was compassionate and genuinely loved people and loved to serve. He never met a stranger and had a heart of gold.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rhonda Ann Whitley; his brother, Tyler Whitley; his grandparents, Randall M. Reynolds and Lois Ann Reynolds, Herbert J. Whitley and Frances B. Whitley, and Ernie Lee and Flora Lee.
Jamie is survived by his wife, Terah Whitley of Benton, AR; his son, Zachary Whitley of Camden, AR; his daughters, Averie Whitley and Addi Whitley of Benton, AR; his grandson, Zayden Whitley of Camden, AR; his father, Jim Whitley of Benton, AR; his mother, Angie Lee of Little Rock, AR; his brothers: David Gilbreath and wife Sarah of Golden, TX, Courtney Whitley of Charlotte, NC, and Aidyn Whitley of Benton, AR; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral services will be held in at Proctor Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Pastor Josh West. The internment will immediately follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
