Mrs. Bell passed away Sunday, April 18, 2021 in Bullard. She was born on May 17, 1939 in Tyler to George William Johnston and Maudie Barner Johnston. She was born into a large family with 10 children. She met the love of her life, Walter in Tyler, TX. They married in 1958 in Tyler. They moved to the Bullard area and that is where they stayed. Most people will likely remember her for her chocolate pies, or her famous pea salad. She sure loved to cook for her family. She also loved good books and coffee.
Barbara was a member of many churches throughout her life. She had a wonderful love for God and she made sure everyone knew. Barbara also worked for American Clay in her early years but enjoyed most of her life being a wife, mother, and grandmother.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Bell, daughter, Julie Bell-Barrera and daughter-in-law, Gigi Bell. She is survived by her loving family including her sons and spouses; Danny & Debbie Bell, and Travis & Angie Bell. She had many grandchildren whom she loves so much, including Amanda Brown, Johnny Barrera, Jessie Bell, Heather Bell, Shane Bell, Candice Maggio, Robert Hathaway, James and Jennifer Siegel, and Daniel & Elizabeth Gerlach. She also had several wonderful great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She had a huge family and she sure loved every single person in it.
Pallbearers will be Shane Bell, Johnny Barrera, Aaron Brown, David Burks, Harold Johnston and Heath Johnston.
