Melvin Delane Brown nickname "Popcorn" age 57 passed away Saturday April 17, 2021 at his residence.
He is survived by his mother Pearly Mae Brown, wife Karen Brown, son Nikolas Brown, daughter Whitney Green (Brandon), step sons Peyton Richards, Carson Richards, brother Wayne Brown (Vanessa), sisters Debra Goble (Larry), Angie Washburn (Jay) and one grandchild Laney Camryn Green to be born in September. Mr. Brown is preceded in death by his father Charles Brown.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening , April 20th, 2021 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Cleveland First Baptist Church, 36632 State Hwy. 79, Cleveland, AL 35049. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Cleveland First Baptist Church at 2:00 pm. Mr. Brown will lie in state from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Burial to follow at Green's Chapel Cemetery, Cleveland, AL.
Mr. Brown enjoyed riding his pontoon boat on the lake, traveling, music, baseball, and the great outdoors. He was an avid Alabama fan, He is a J B Pennington alumni and was on the board.
