Patrick John Dougherty, age 53, of Loveland, CO, passed away on January 9, 2021 after a brief illness. Patrick was born in Danbury, CT on October 18, 1967 to J. Kevin Dougherty Sr. and Margaret Dougherty. Patrick grew up in Greenwich, CT and graduated from Greenwich High School, class of 1985, and held a degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson & Wales University, class of 1987.
Patrick's gregarious personality gained him lifelong friends from the many places he lived in Fairfield County, CT and Loveland, CO and places he visited in the United States and Ireland. Patrick gained a great many of admirers through his talents as a chef and his love was on full display with his Macushla, his Rocky Mountain Pug.
Patrick is survived by his brother, Michael Dougherty and his wife Cathy of New Canaan, CT as well as nephews and nieces, Kevin, Jacob, Bridget and Caragh.
Patrick was predeceased by his parents J. Kevin Dougherty Sr. and Margaret (Ferrick) Dougherty and brothers Jay and Steven.
A celebration of Patrick's life is scheduled for Saturday, January 30th at 1:00 PM at Silver Lake Park in Loveland, CO; masks and social distancing are mandatory. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Fairfield County, CT in the near future. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that masses be said in Patrick's name.
