MILLERSBURG - Barry Evans Taylor, 81, of Millersburg, died December 7, 2020, at home. He was born on May 19, 1939 in Harrisburg, PA the son of the late Farley and Margaret (Evans) Taylor formerly of Dauphin.

He married the love of his life, the late Kathy I. Taylor, and they were married for 47 years. Together they enjoyed traveling to the beachside, especially to Virginia Beach. He loved spending time with his friends and family.

He retired from the Dauphin County Board of Assessment after a long career with the county. After graduating from Central Dauphin High School, he attended Penn State University prior to working for the county. He was a member of Halifax U.M. Church.

Barry is survived by his sister Linda Taylor Grudi and her husband Walter of Fishing Creek, a daughter Marcy Ann Domen, a son David Wayne Taylor Shoop, sisters-in-law Judy Bonawitz and Brenda Laudenslager, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Due to the indoor gathering restrictions the family has planned for a brief outdoor graveside service for family and friends at Dauphin Memorial Park, 100 Floral Lane, Dauphin, on December 11, 2020 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Brendan Hock officiating.

The family requests that memorial donations may be made to Halifax UM Church, 150 Wind Hill Dr., Halifax, PA 17032. Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home, Ltd., Millersburg is handling the arrangements. To sign the guestbook go to www.minnichfuneral.com
