Mrs. Audrey Nell Tucker, 81, of Guyton, GA, passed away April 20th after a long illness with her family by her side.

She was born in Marlow, GA, was a member of Pine Street Baptist Church in Guyton and retired from Savannah Electric and Power Company. She was known for being a wonderful cook. Her Thanksgiving dinners will be remembered by many, especially the dessert table that featured a favorite for each family member. She could also put together a full southern meal in record time. She also liked to catch a fish! Her sister-in-law, Ruby Carter, taught her the art of quilting by hand. She has gifted quilts to her family and friends and we have often wondered how many tiny stitches she sewed into each one. She enjoyed serving her Church and the Lord by playing the piano during church services and managing the Clothes Closet Ministry.

She was preceded in death by her biological parents, William and Lucille Nease and the aunt and uncle that raised her after her mother's death, Ella and Lester Davis. She was also preceded in death by her son, Craig Tucker, and sisters and brothers, Evelyn Pinholster, Earline Nease, Everett Davis, Nellice Crosby, Lebernice Towers, and Hurley Davis.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Wilton Tucker; children, Annette Youmans (Mickey), Randall Tucker (Jamie), and Renee Blissett (Joey); and her grandchildren, who were so precious to her, Russell and Emily Smith, Kinley and Clay Tucker and five bonus grandchildren; sister, Eloise Jenkins, and several nieces and nephews.

The viewing and visitation will be from 2 until 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home – WEST CHATHAM CHAPEL, located at 901 West Highway 80 in Pooler.

The graveside funeral and burial will follow at 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Effingham Memorial Gardens located at 880 Highway 21 South, Springfield, GA

The family would like to thank the loving caregivers of Hospice Savannah for the care and support they provided throughout this journey. We would especially like to thank Pat for her tender care and friendship.

Remembrances may be given to Hospice Savannah, Music and Massage Therapy Program, P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, GA 31416.
