Mrs. Anita Sue Taylor, age 78, of Forrest City, died Sunday, April 18, 2021, at her home in Forrest City. She had been in poor health for the past two years.

Mrs. Taylor was born July 22, 1942, in St. Francis County, and was the daughter of James Malcolm Patterson and Mary Anita McCrary Patterson. She lived in West Memphis and St. Francis County most of her life, was a bookkeeper, and a member of the Widener Baptist Church.

Mrs. Taylor married James Walter Taylor in 1072, and he preceded her in death in 2008. She is survived by one daughter, Mary Alissa Varnadoe of Forrest City, one son, Darrel Wayne May of California, one step-son, Greg Taylor of Mississippi, nine grandchildren; Shane Blalock, Rachel Blalock, Aaron Varnadoe, Christina May, Morganna May, Sabrina Taylor, Butch Taylor, Chris Taylor, and Carrie Taylor, and several great-grandchildren.

Services for Mrs. Taylor will be held Graveside, 1:00 P.M., Thursday, at the Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Forrest City. Visitation will be Thursday, 11:00 till 1:00, at Stevens Funeral Home, with Stevens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. You may log on to stevensfuneralhome.net for the online registry.
