Jack M. Burke, 69, died April 16, 2021 at Via Christi St. Francis Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. He was born on Oct.1, 1951 at Spearville, Ks. the son of James K. and Emma E. (Lutz) Burke.
He married Brenda Nau the love of his life on Sept. 18, 1976 in Spearville. She survives.
Jack loved to go fishing and camping in his spare time. He especially enjoyed pulling big catfish off his trot lines. He was a lifelong Chiefs fan cheering them on every Sunday during football season. He always looked forward to his trips to Tom's farm to see "Sammy" (Tom). Jack's true love was his family, he would spend hours on the phone with all his family just to see how they were or if they needed anything or if he could help them in any way. He also had a mischievous side to him, he always said that if you gave money to the State Troopers Association and they sent you the support sticker for the bumper of your car that you would never receive a ticket from them again.
He was a member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus all of Spearville, Kinsley Gun Club and the Cattlemen's Lounge.
He is survived by his wife Brenda, two daughters, Kristy (Manuel) Soriano of Eunice, New Mexico; Tracey (Clint) Melia of Salida, Colorad; son, Doug (Abbey) Burke of Spearville, Ks.; seven grandchildren: Landyn, Ella, Griffin Melia; Chase and Trisha Burke, Paisley and Braxton Soriano; three brothers, Jim (Linda) Burke of Dodge City, Ks., Dennis (Penny) Burke of Houston, Tx. and Tom (Lori) Burke of Spearville, Ks; one sister, Diane (Rob) Jacobs of Kinsley, Ks.
