Steve Jack McCoy, age 90 of Harriet, Arkansas passed from this life on Monday, April 19th, 2021 at Care Manor in Mountain Home, Arkansas. He was born in Big Flat, Arkansas on February 24th, 1931 to Albert McCoy and Tisha Treat McCoy.

Steve was a Korean War Veteran of the United States Navy. He met and married his wife, Donna Hoffpauir while serving in the Navy. He was of the Church of Christ faith. Before moving to Big Flat he worked for many years at Boeing Aircraft in Wichita, Kansas. He also worked as a construction contractor where his excellent carpentry skills were put to good use. Steve was a wonderful neighbor and was always willing to help anyone in need. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved sitting on his porch watching the birds fly around his many birdhouses. Steve left his children and grandchildren an amazing example and legacy that will live on in their hearts forever.

Survivors include his children, Jackie McCoy and wife Carolyn Sue of Big Flat, Rickie McCoy and wife Billie of Big Flat and Sharon McClatchy and husband Bud also of Big Flat; eleven grandchildren; forty-two great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; sister, Estelene Schmidt of Kansas; and a host of extended family and friends who will also mourn his passing.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Tisha McCoy; his wife, Donna Faye Hoffpauir McCoy who passed away in 2019; one son, Russell Wade McCoy; granddaughters, Brandy and Kimberly; and siblings, Mary Obeda McCoy, George Hugh McCoy, James McCoy, David McCoy, Bobby Franklin McCoy and three infant siblings.

Funeral services for Steve will be 2:00 PM Friday, April 23rd, 2021 at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Carl Wayne Chadwick officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 till 8:00 PM Thursday, April 22nd, 2021 in the Chapel. Burial will be in Farris Cemetery in Stone County, Arkansas where Steve will be laid to rest with military honors beside his wife, Donna. Bearers will be Bobby Nash, Corey Garnett, Michael Reece, Roger Wilson, Lesil Morrison and Joey Halvorson. Honorary bearers will be Keith Chadwick and Junior Wynn.
