Rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock tonight at the Oxnard chapel of Oliver L. Reardon and Sons for Charles Bertrand (Bert) Donlon, 41, widely known Oxnard racher, who died last night at the Donlon ranch home on Saviers road.
Solemn requiem high mass will be recited at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow at Santa Clara Catholic church, Oxnard, with interment to follow at the Donlon mausoleum at Ivy Lawn.
John Treher, J. Robert Donlon, Carlos Levy, Edwin Hooker, Emil Gisler and Addison P. Brewer will be pallbearers.
Mr. Donlon died following a heart attack. Born at Hueneme Aug. 18, 1900, Mr. Donlon was the eldest son of Mrs. Laura Donlon and the late Charles Donlon, pioneer family of Oxnard.
At the time of his death, he was grand knight of the Knights of Columbus. He had been active in Oxnard civic and social affairs for many years, being a member of American Legion post 48, the Oxnard Elks and a leader in the Holy Name society.
MR. Donlon attended parochial schools in Oxnard, later graduation from Santa Clara university. He served in World War I.
Mr. Donlon is survived by his mother Laura Donlon, his widow Mrs. Agnes Donlon; three sons Charles, Dynes and Bertrand Robert; a brother Peter Donlon of San Francisco and two sisters, Miss Cynthia Donlon of Oxnard and Mrs. Frank Breslin of Los Angeles
