Emma Beatrice Dixon was born on November 23, 1940 to Sonnie McLemore and Florence
(McLemore) Henderson. She entered her eternal rest on Friday, April 9, 2021.

At a young age, she was baptized in Franklin, Tennessee and was a member of the First
Baptist Missionary Church, Franklin. She later moved to Nashville where she was a
member of Mt. Sinai Primitive Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and was an
Usher. In her later years, she relocated to Murfreesboro to be closer with family and she
became a member of the First Baptist Church, Murfreesboro.

Emma was a loving, free-spirited mother, grandmother and great grandmother, family
member and friend. She enjoyed cooking for everyone, especially her family. Entertaining
was her passion. She did not stop her cooking, gathering recipes or dancing with her
children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sonnie and Florence; and her husband, Henry
Goldy Dixon.

Emma leaves to cherish her memory: children, Brenda McLemore, Carolyn Reeves, Lolita
(David C.) Gosey Jr., G31y (Tanya) Dixon and Tammy Armstrong; eleven grandchildren,
Charitta, Sharissa, Aisha (GeAuthor), Lorenzo (Katie), David, Terrance (Tiffany), Gary Jr.
(Sameka), Gabresha, Gerez, Rodney and Falicia; twenty-nine great grandchildren; brother,
Charles (Alberta) McLemore; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and special
devoted friend, Agnes Hardison.
