Jolly M. Duncan, aged 81 years,of Oliver Springs, departed this life Feb.28th, following an illness of several months. when the great summons came he expressed a willingness to depart this life with its toil and sorrow and go to the Great Beyond where there is neithers in nor death.

Jolly professed faith in Christ just before his death. He only arrived home from Martinsville, Ind. where he had been taking treatment for rheumatism, a few hours before the Angel of Death came. His kind loving face will be sadly missed among his many friends, but we feel that our loss is his gain, and though we can never walk with Jolly here on earth again, if we do our Father's will, we can walk the street of the New Jerusalem with him forever and ever. Deceased leaves to mourn his loss a wife and two children, Clarence and Eller, two sisters, Mrs. B.W. Brown of Oliver Springs, and Mrs. Wm. White of Briceville, four brothers, G.W. of Oliver Springs, Thos of Standard W. VA., A.J. Of Atlanda, Ga. and A.L. of Washington, D.C..

The funeral services were conducted by Bro. Gamble and the remains were laid to rest in the family cemetery at Frost Bottom.
